This is 5 weeks worth of home learning activities for KS3 Drama students and includes different activities for year 7 and 8 students . Each week has an appreciation, creative and performing task for students to select from and submit. Some of the creative tasks have been inspired/adapted from work from other practitioners. Each activity has an explicate intention for students to support intent>implement> impact. :)

This is a menu that I have set for my KS3 students as part of their distance learning. This involves students developing knowledge of Drama Practitioners. The students select a practitioner and complete a range of creative and research activities to develop their knowledge. There is also an opportunity for students to complete performance tasks. This task can be used to support distance learning, or as a homework.

This resource includes: 7-14 Blood Brother workshops which help students explore and develop their performance, physical and vocal skill for comp 2 (new tech award), A document where they can record their progress for comp 2 and a PP to assist this. A lesson, resource and model example of how students can explore Blood Brothers for comp 1. A document which can be used to allocate students scenes from Blood Brothers.

If like me, you lose access to your Drama studio during exams, this resource’s aim is to make sure that theory/classroom based lessons are still valuable. This includes seven lessons worth of theory activities that are based upon the expectation (yet a differentiated version of) of students at KS4 (BTEC Technical Award). The topics include: -Physical Theatre types of staging performance and vocal skills analysis of aural and physical setting (using Shrek The musical and Matilda) comparing and contrasting performance works. Each lesson has a full PP and worksheet.

This includes three workshop explorations that provides evidence for comp 1 LAB (exploring the performance arts) It focuses on the set works: Blood Brothers Teechers Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time It includes three workshops and a quiz which consolidates, assesses and develops students understanding of LAA. I also have a range of lessons, model examples and worksheets to support LAA.

This is a unit of work that takes students through a mock comp 3 exam using the brief ‘time changes everything’. This allows them to practically explore their ideas whilst developing their ability to complete their ideas, development and evaluation logs.

This is a fun, interactive drama quiz which is perfect end of topic, starter, or plenary activity for KS3 and 4 learners. The aim is to consolidate, assess and expand the students knowledge of drama styles, skills, devices alongside aspects of roles, responsibilities and staging. This has 40 questions and also has the answers included. This will allow this to be lead by students and used by non-specialists too.

This includes a range of SOW and resources that are used for the year 9 students. This include: Teechers (3 weeks) Naturalism/Mugged (6 weeks) A Christmas Carol (6 weeks) A Curious Incident/physical theatre (6 weeks) Although this is still KS3, our intention is to prepare students for KS4 - whilst sustaining engagement. This is an English SOW based on the play 'Stone Cold' based on the novel by Robert Swindells. This play follows a teenage boy who is homeless. This was designed for a LA Year 8 group but could be used for year 7/ HA 6. This includes activities based upon each scene, dictionary tasks, comprehension tasks and creative responses. This also includes peer/self assessment activities.

This is a SOW used with year 8 as an introduction to dance. Students create a routine based on James Bond, the styles explores include capoeira and street. This was really successful with boys!
