This product was featured in TpT’s “10 FREE Downloads Newsletter” and has amassed over 1,600 downloads and nine 4-star reviews on TpT in merely a few months. See it on TpT Calculating weight and mass: 19 practice problems total. Alternate version included that has 3 example problems (one for each variable) and 16 practice problems. All original problems. Perfect homework, practice, or guided class activity for teaching these skills. This was a paid product until February 2018, but I decided to offer up a nicer freebie to help give buyers a better idea of what my best products are like. It has a $2 value, but if you will consider following me I’m glad to provide it to you for free. I hope you find it useful! Please review!!!

Challenge your students with these 18 practice problems with the wave speed formula! This is the perfect homework assignment, extra practice problems, or could be used as a teacher-led activity for when teaching these skills. The questions have students solve for all 3 variables in the wave speed equation. HS-PS4-1 I have included an alternate version that has the first 3 problems solved as examples. This alternate version is NOT included in the page count on this listing. These are high-impact practice exercises! Please review and follow my store!
Achromatic Color's Effect on Energy Absorption

Achromatic Color's Effect on Energy Absorption

(0)
Have your students hypothesis-build and test on the question of how achromatic color affects electromagnetic energy absorption using this powerful and beautifully simplistic lab design. Included is the student handout to be used to create a lab report, an area to graph the data, as well as photos for the teacher to help see how I run the lab. You can modify the design and still have a great time with your kids! The main objectives of the lab are to determine if and how achromatic color affects the absoption of energy as well as using the specific heat formula to solve for how much energy was absorbed by the water. This lab can be adapted for lower grades by not utilizing the specific heat formula objective. Supplies Needed: (1 per group) Lamp with infrared bulb (see preview for photos) Temperature probe or thermometer Ring stand with 1 small and 1 large iron ring Clamp to secure temp probe or thermometer 100 ml distilled water 3 soda cans wrapped in construction paper with the tops left open (1 white, 1 gray, and 1 black) That’s it! Please review! The kids will love it!

Here are 3 original examples and 6 practice problems (alternate version included does not have examples, simply 9 problems) solving Newton’s 2nd Law problems using F=ma for force, mass, and acceleration. It includes a description of the 2nd law using the concepts of direct and inverse proportionality that makes perfect sense to a developing high school mind. Designed for 9th grade but usable in 7th-12th depending on student ability level and needs. Perfect homework assignment or in-class activity to practice or even teach these skills for the first time.
