Sharing circle thought cards: 24 sentence prompt cards to use during circle time

Sharing circle thought cards: 24 sentence prompt cards to use during circle time

24 thought cards to prompt as sentence starters for use during your sharing circle or circle time. Use them in small groups, or choose a few students to share during whole class circle time. An example where I have found these work is after reading groups. You can either choose one small group to share, or choose one person from each group to share what their group did that lesson. Simply print and cut along the guidelines. Laminate and use them again and again. Alternatively, you could print on cardstock. It works well to keep them in a baggie or box for students to lucky dip. These cards aren't content specific, so they can be used for a variety of subjects. Happy Teaching! Miss Jac

Is your work complete- checklist poster

Is your work complete- checklist poster

This is a short, simple checklist that encourages students to check their own work before handing it in for marking. It can be used for a range of subject areas as it is not content specific. It reminds them to include details such as their name, heading and date, as well as checking punctuation, spelling and handwriting. I display it as a poster in my classroom which the students have become accustomed to using as a self or peer checklist before returning work to me for marking, thus becoming more autonomous learners. You could also print multiple copies to a page and create individualised bookmarks for the students' personal use.
