A great little starter activity to open a measurements lesson with. Can the children find items from around the classroom (or outdoors) that are more than/less than and equal to a set weight. I've had the children measure bags of rice to a certain weight to compare with previously.

Great end of year activity to give your children something unique to remember their year by. Works with any cheap linen/cotton but I've also had success in the past using a weighted art paper or card folded up. Download contains a detailed lesson plan to follow with suggestions on everything from resources to follow up.

Is it Living?

A simple table based worksheet allowing children to test anything they can think of to ascertain whether it is living or not. This is achieved though a series of questions. Lots of great talking points and further questioning to be had following in from this.

A blank Lego fact-file that can be used throughout addition/subtraction and multiplication sessions. Children select a Lego brick from pile, draw it out and then note the array of bumps through number sentences.
