I am currently studying Veterinary Science at Liverpool University having studied AQA Biology, Chemistry and Edexcel Geography at A level. I achieved A*AA in my A levels so am sharing my revision notes to help others achieve top marks. I also received 4/4 of my offers to Vet schools in the UK so have shared my interview preparation tips to help anyone who is preparing for Veterinary interviews:)

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.1.1 (Atomic Structure) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification, one of the MOST important topics in the whole course. The blue bullet points are copied directly from the AQA spec, with my own notes directly below each point to ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. This resource includes super detailed yet concise notes on Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry INCLUDING both ionisation methods: “Electron Impact” and “Electrospray” Electrospray came up more than once in the 2019 exam papers and caught a lot of people out! Learn these notes and you’ll be on your way to achieving TOP MARKS. Also included is the formula needed to work out time taken which regularly comes up as a chunky 5/6 marker calculation question, how to interpret different analyse spectra and all definitions for this key topic. ** All the photos in this revision pack are from google images, I take no claim for them!** They’re used to aid with the notes.

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.1.11 (Electrode potentials and electrochemical cells) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification. The red bullet points are copied directly from the AQA specification which ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. Also included are some “classic” AQA exam questions with markscheme derived answers and specific notes on commercial applications of electrochemical cells with ALL the equations that you just have to LEARN BY HEART highlighted in yellow. I spent over a year working on these notes so that they are very specific and contain all the key facts:) Note- I haven’t included how to “use EƟ values to predict the direction of simple redox reactions” as I personally found this simple so didn’t require notes on it. Also I found it hard to describe using words with no images as to what I was doing! ** All the photos in this revision pack are from google images, I take no claim for them!** They’re used to aid with the notes.

This 13 page revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.1.3 (Bonding) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification, one of the MOST important topics in the whole course. The green bullet points are copied directly from the AQA spec, with my own notes directly below each point to ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. Throughout this resourse are tips that I learnt during my two years studying Chemistry Alevel including the key to successfully answering “comparing” questions in the exam about intermolecular forces, how to work out the shape of molecules/ ions and everything in between!

Transition Metals ( complete 3.2.5 + 3.2.6 specification topics)

3 Resources
A Bundle of the complete 3.2.5 TRANSITION METAL and 3.2.6 REACTIONS OF IONS IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION topics for AQA A level Chemistry course. I’ve structured my revision notes so the specification is in bold and in colour, with the specific notes referring to each point of the spec directly beneath it so you really can’t go wrong! I found that using lots of colour and different layouts made this topic more fun to learn, so hope you do too!

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.2.5.6 (Transition Metals: Catalysts) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification. The green bullet points are copied directly from the AQA specification which ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. This revision pack contains general facts on catalysts and then has a page dedicated to homogenous, heterogenous and autocatalysts, along with ALL equations you need to learn by heart before the exam. I spent a year working on these notes so that they are very specific and contain all the key facts laid out clearly and so they’re aesthetically pleasing!

This 9 page revision pack contains everything you need to know for the AQA A level Chemistry’s 3.2.5 “Transition Metals” topic. Including AQA exam questions and answers on “the formation of coloured ions” and a 6 marker on colorimetry. Also includes all the definitions in this topic, general properties, the chelate effect, Haem and oxygen, Shapes of complex ions, Spectroscopy and Colorimetry and how to calculate the value for ΔE. The GREEN bullet points are copied directly from the AQA specification which ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. I spent hours perfecting this revision pack as Transition Metals is such a key Alevel topic in Chemistry so hope this helps you as much as it did for me:) ** All the photos in this revision pack are from google images, I take no claim for them!** They’re used to aid with the notes.

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.2.5 (Reactions of ions in aqueous solution) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification. I’ve written out the full equations, state and colour changes for the elements the specifiation requires you to know AND a couple of extra elements that could potentially be asked about as appear in other parts of the specification (e.g. Chromium). This resource is a must have as this part of the spec is simply “learn and churn” !! I spent a year working on these notes so that they are very specific and contain all the key facts:)

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of section 3.2.4 (Properties of period 3 and their oxides) from the AQA A level Chemistry specification. The purple bullet points are copied directly from the AQA specification which ensure that every aspect of the spec is covered. Then the following pages have a whole A4 side dedicated to the facts you need to know for each element in Period 3 for this specification. This resource is a must have a period 3 is mostly “learn and churn” !! I spent a year working on these notes so that they are very specific and contain all the key facts:) ** All the photos in this revision pack are from google images, I take no claim for them!** They’re used to aid with the notes.

This revision resource covers the WHOLE of sections 3.2.3 (Group 7, the halogens) of the AQA A level Chemistry specification. The green bullet points are copied directly from the AQA specification which ensure that every aspect of the specification is covered with my specific, succinct notes directly underneath each bullet point. I spent 2 years working on these notes, using markschemes to ensure that I use KEYWORDS thus ensure maximum marks are gained in the exam.
