Hi! I currently work in London as a Deputy Headteacher. I love all things teaching and learning! I am extremely passionate about education and find researching and creating new strategies and ideas exciting. The world of teaching and leading in England is highly stressful and it's up to all of us to look after each other's well-being...I hope my resources save you some precious time.

This is my own personal statement for the position of Assistant Headteacher for Teaching, Learning and Curriculum - a job which I got.
Being able to download someone else’s personal statement while writing mine, would have been a huge help. Therefore, I thought offering mine, would give practitioners an option to view one before they start writing their own and thus having new ideas and a clear structure.
Obviously, every personal statement should be tailored to the person specification but it is easy to use ideas from this personal statement and shuffle them around accordingly. I have removed specific names from the personal statement and instead typed, XXX.
A supporting / personal statement (containing blood, sweat and tears!) for the post of Headteacher.
This supporting statement, of over 3000 words, ensured that I was shortlisted. I was subsequently appointed as Headteacher in a 2-form state primary.
I have removed specific names and replaced with XXX.
There is copy write on the document. Please do not simply lift statements. The purpose of the document is to support your understanding of how to write a supporting statement, including the language to use and how to show your impact as a leader. It also shows how you can structure a supporting statement, using the headings provided in the person specification. I prefer this layout style myself and feel that it shows that you are organised, as well as, making the shortlisting process easier for governors/trustees.

This presentation contains planning and resources for 2 weeks of cross-curricular teaching on Japan's involvement in the Second World War. I followed this learning journey with my Y6 class and that were enthralled by the story. The presentation teaches children about Japan's involvement. Then asks them to focus on the Atomic Bomb and then more specifically on the story of Sadako Sasaki and the Thousand Peace Cranes - a sad yet inspiring story. Focus genres are timelines and autobiographies, with lots of opportunities to show viewpoint.

Good mental well-being has become harder to maintain as life becomes increasingly hectic. That's why it must be our priority to help pupils to understand their own mental well-being and know how to improve it.
This great 12 page booklet is full of activities aimed at supporting pupils to improve and maintain a healthy mental well-being. Activities range from thinking about what makes them happy to designing their own happy place to setting goals to thinking about how helping others can lead to being a happier person.
The activities are suitable to support a 9 week programme on mental well-being, which should become a priority in every curriculum.
Any questions, please just ask.

Lastly, it acts pupils to reflect on how they can help make this a peaceful world.

An activity booklet with 9 thought-provoking activities to support your pupils to improve their mindset. These activities are designed to encourage pupils to dig deeper and understand themselves better. Guide them through these activities and alongside teaching, they should start to understand how to improve their mindset. There are two questionnaires, one for the beginning of the project and one meant for when you have promoted a growth mindset for a few months. You can use this to analyse change.
Any questions, just ask!
I am holding a whole-school growth mindset afternoon to continue raising the profile of the mindsets and how they can impact success.
I created this powerpoint, which includes 10 mindset activities for teachers to choose activities from. Activities relate to various different subjects and are fun and engaging ways for pupils to develop their understanding of growth and fixed mindsets.

In line with the Year 3 Maths objective, 'tell and write the time from an analogue clock, including using Roman numerals from I to XII.'
Two differentiated activity sheets, where pupils must read the time and put the hands in the correct place on the clock. The sheets are adaptable and so can be changed to suit the needs within your class.
