Writing To Persuade.

(0)
This resource is a letter, powerpoint and worksheet on ‘writing to persuade’. The letter is one I made myself which the students can annotate. The powerpoint includes various tasks which include: a starter activity, a letter to be annotated (pick out AFOREST techniques - introduced in powerpoint, sheet to be stuck in.), a match up activity recapping basic information on letter writing and then a ‘writing to persuade’ letter task at the end. The students have to write a letter to their past self, trying to convince them not to follow through with a particular mistake again. All self-explanatory whilst using.

Remembrance Day Poem Powerpoint

This free powerpoint includes basic information about Remembrance Day and then gives examples of various poems such as ‘Flanders Fields’. There is an attached word document with the poem ‘For The Fallen’ which has activities on it to be completed. This can easily be printed as a worksheet. Then, students can have a go at writing their own poem after learning what a good one looks like and what they should include in it. Their poems should be linked to Remembrance Day. There is a video link to a video which reads ‘For The Fallen’ out loud both in the powerpoint and attached to this.

This FREE resource includes a powerpoint lesson on Curley’s wifes behaviour and also looks into gender stereotypes. It includes a PEED paragraph explaining Curley’s wifes attention seeking and asks the students to write their own. It also compares posters from the 1930s to ads banned for stereotypical reasons earlier this year. As well as this, there is a word document of a WAGOLL - (what a good one looks like which is also in the powerpoint) with a colour coding activity. All is self explanatory throughout the slideshow.

Formal Persuasive Letter

(0)
This is simply a persuasive letter targeted towards KS3. It includes all aspects of AFOREST as well as being formal and something the pupils may relate to. I have already uploaded this persuasive letter with a lesson plan but I understand some do not want the whole bundle so I thought I would upload this separately. Have a look at my shop if you are interested in the full lesson :)

This is a descriptive writing lesson on PowerPoint. It is aimed at KS3/KS4 students, as it is simply a way to focus and zoom in on details in an image, exploring senses and giving helpful techniques to do so. The attached word document is just a table and image which the students can use.
