A really fun activity for practising halving numbers. I did this as a quick activity in pairs with my Year 3s, with a competitive element to see which pair could make the longest pair. The class really loved it! Differentiation comes from the numbers the children start with, the method they use for halving, peer and adult support. Includes challenges.

Used with my Year 3s when reading Ottoline and the Yellow Cat. Fantastic way for children to get an understanding of Ottoline's character. This worksheet guides children to explore Ottoline's character. Could be used at the beginning and towards the end of the book to see how her character develops. Also useful for writing a sequel.
