AQA Unit 1: Natural Hazards - quizzes This document provides links to a series of self marking, multiple choice quizzes for the new AQA GCSE Geography (2016-) specification. Each quiz asks a series of questions that students are required to know for the exam, based on what they have covered in lessons. The quizzes are created as Google Forms and work via it’s quiz function. Benefits: Self marking, students are provided with instant feedback. Completely reusable and editable, once set up - students can attempt these multiple times, for multiple years. Answers are graphed to show specific weaknesses and strengths in student understanding (to allow you to target these areas). A Google Sheet spreadsheet (similar to Excel) is created, allowing you to filter per class. You could copy and paste the list of students from your marksheet into each quiz, this will allow you to use ‘Vlookup’ functions to fill in their responses into your marksheet automatically. Excellent revision tools and can be used for sequencing, e.g. In Year 11, students can be asked to revisit quizzes for certain topics in Year 10 etc. Each quiz is an average of 20 questions so assesses a wide range of content covered. Impact: We are well above average for progress and attainment with some classes in the top 1% nationally. Student confidence with topics is increased and allows further work and assessment out of the classroom. QUIZZES ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL UNITS AND BUNDLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR A DISCOUNT
