A revision and consolidation activity intended to allow students to see the progress they are making in a particular topic.
Graded worksheet with 4 questions for each objective. Full answer sheet and blank student sheet for students to write their answers.
Also included is a basic powerpoint presentation that allows teachers to display the sheets on the board and outlines the learning objectives at the start.
A great activity to engage students and build both their mathematical ability and confidence, based on Kagan cooperative learning.
Students have a card each and move around the room asking the question on their card to other students. The answer is also printed on their card so they can see if their partner has the right answer. If needed, they can use their understanding to coach their partner towards the right answer. Once both students have asked their question they trade cards and move on so each student has a variety of questions that they are asking to others.
This activity involves simplifying algebraic expressions.
Full resources for an eye-catching and informative maths display based on MEAN MEDIAN MODE & RANGE.
I've used the Beatles to get the info across (for no other reason apart from I like the Beatles!) but the resources can be easily amended so any characters could easily be used. I haven't included the pictures shown the photo for copyright purposes (I wasn't sure where the cartoon images came from) but they can be easily printed from google images.

An original and fun interactive quiz suitable for all high school students.
Engaging rounds, fun pictures drawn by me, sound effects and more! I've been making these quizzes for years now and the students really love them!
The them this time is summer holidays so all the rounds are linked to that.
Round 1 - Geography - name the country from the capital city. Capital cities appear on a n airport departure board and the student shave to name the country.
Round 2 - Celebrity Picture Round - Students have to identify photos of celebrities obscured by sunglasses.
Round 3 - Movie Round - clips of recent movies play in the style of in-flight entertainment and students have to name as many movies as they can. They might want this video playing twice as it goes quite quick!
Round 4 - Travel Picture Round - A cartoon version of me appears in photos of famous tourist destinations around the world and students have to name the country that they're in. I'm wearing some visual clues for the harder ones!
Round 5 - Music Round - clips of recent popular songs play and students have to name the song and artist.
All this is themed around a summer holiday with pictures and sound effects to make the whole quiz fun and engaging. It's timed to last about 50 minutes but can be stretched out if necessary or likewise split up and used as separate rounds at different times.
Enjoy, and have a great summer!
