Memorizing formulae has never been a fun thing to do. That is exactly why these flashcards have been designed. This folder consists of three sets of flashcards, with formulae that GCSE/IGCSE students are expected to learn (Quadratic Formula, Pythagoras’ Theorem, Sine Rule, Cosine Rule, and Area of a triangle). This activity can either be done in pairs or small groups and is apt for revision. Simply spare 10 minutes of your lesson for this activity, and your students would have memorized these nauseating formulae before they even realize it!!!
This presentation is a step-by-step guide that would help students with word problems on linear simultaneous equations.I have included five different types of word problems that GCSE/IGCSE students are likely to come across. By the end of this lesson students will be able to construct simultaneous equations by deriving information from the word problem. Students should be able to solve simultaneous equations using both the substitution and elimination methods prior to this lesson.
