Mathjitsu Times Tables Using the Shanghai Method

(1)
Mathjitsu is a concept I created for my class to help them learn their times tables. I have tweaked the order in which children learn their times tables to follow the Shanghai Method, making it easier to recognise relationships between times table facts. This resource includes nine 'band assessments' (comprehensively assessing 10, 5, 2, 4, 8, 3, 6, 9 and 7 times tables and all related facts, including division facts) eight coloured bands, to help children learn the next times table, a progress tracker sheet and instructions.

Compare Numbers Using Minecraft

This is a 'Top Trumps' style game I created to help my daughter to recognise and compare numbers 0-100. (She absolutely loves it!) The game itself features 24 cards, each displaying a different Minecraft 'mob' and four categories. Mobs are weird and wonderful creatures that can be found in the game. Some are very dangerous, like the infamous Creeper and some are not so dangerous. I also made a Minecraft video featuring a battle arena. Please check out this and my other videos: (Copy and paste the link.) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChf0ErPjca3wGIuaBlOrMhg Many thanks!

This resource is to support addition of several small numbers, looking for patterns in the numbers first: in this case, you will be looking for doubles to add first. Please check out my YouTube channel and the video that goes alongside this resource. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChf0ErPjca3wGIuaBlOrMhg

Area Investigation - Minecraft Themed

Can you find all ways of making an area of 24? You could think outside the box and combine several rectangles to make an area of 24, perhaps as a compound shape... This resource works really well alongside my area video, which can be found on my 'Mister Teach' YouTube channel, and is also Minecraft themed. I hope you find it useful. My children find Minecraft very engaging!

This resource includes the numerals 0-9 in yellow and 1 and 2 in green, so that children can make numbers such as 11 and 22. It also helps reinforce place value, stating the ones are in yellow and tens are in green. Please visit my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChf0ErPjca3wGIuaBlOrMhg?sub_confirmation=1

I have created a times table calculator that can be made simply. It includes instructions and is featured in my 'How to Learn Times Tables Fast' video. I know there is a huge focus on learning times tables in schools now, and I have created a series of catchy songs on my Mister Teach YouTube channel, which my children have mastered.
