Mathjitsu is a concept I created for my class to help them learn their times tables. I have tweaked the order in which children learn their times tables to follow the Shanghai Method, making it easier to recognise relationships between times table facts. This resource includes nine 'band assessments' (comprehensively assessing 10, 5, 2, 4, 8, 3, 6, 9 and 7 times tables and all related facts, including division facts) eight coloured bands, to help children learn the next times table, a progress tracker sheet and instructions.

This is another bingo style activity I have created, linked specifically to the sounds of the woodland. Ideal to use alongside ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson. I would suggest printing the gamecards out as photographs (two per page). Use alongside the listening video found at www.youtube.com/misterteach.

This is a resource to use alongside the video. Challenge children to volunteer to orally segment a farm animal for the other children to ‘guess’ by orally blending the word.
