I am first and foremost a classroom teacher specialising in Religious Studies, Moral Ethics and Philosophy. However I also work as an assistant head teacher with responsibility for whole school teaching and learning. Although most of my time is spent on management and systems it’s important that I don’t forget that quality lessons are the best possible way to ensure students make the progress they deserve. I hope you enjoy my resources and that they save you some time.

Edexcel Religion and Society Revision - One Answer Fits All (Christianity and Islam)

(0)
This resource includes revision materials for the Edexcel Religion and Society Unit 8 covering all units including: 1. Rights and Responsibilities 2. Environmental and Medical Issues 3. Peace and Conflict 4. Crime and Punishment The resource attempts to collate all the essential materials needed for students to be successful in their exam. It uses simplified material for students to easily digest and remember. I would recommend that the students version be printed, in booklet form, and the teacher delivers the revision material on the main slides. Students must then fill in the appropriate information.

Data Rich Seating Plan - Automated/Data Driven/Colour Coded/Customisable/Interactive

Update: New GCSE 1-9 grading seating plan now available here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-new-gcse-1-9-data-rich-seating-plan-automated-data-driven-colour-coded-customisable-interactive-11465776 This seating plan is an outstanding example of how seating plans can be used to show pupil progress as well as to inform the teacher of the pupils that need extra support or intervention in the class. Ofsted have said this is an excellent way of tracking progress in a visually appealing way. I would recommend this to be used in conjunction with a class personalisation plan. This seating plan only requires two things: • Your class data including key stage 2 levels, current data, target data, PP (Pupil premium or disadvantaged pupils), SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability • Excel and the ‘data rich seating plan’ In order to help you navigate the seating plan I have included a video tutorial to help you though customising the seating plan. This should save you time having to read through manual…and we all need time! This seating plan can be used with KS3 level’s and GCSE grading A*-U. (Credit: This seating plan was inspired by a colleague who ran a CPD session, on seating plans, in my school. All thanks to him for the starting point.)

Fits into Forms of Expression and Way of Life...includes full ‘Sculptures and Statues' evaluation lesson (D question) with worksheets to assist (worksheets can also be found in the PowerPoint itself).
