I included some already made labels (These are just the labels that I used and thought I needed), but I have included a set of editable labels in each design. I have also included the fonts that I used in the following slide.
HOW TO USE
PDF Version: Simply download the file, print using a colored printer, cut and laminate for durability. Printing on cardstock also helps to make them last longer. Attach your signs to the drawers using double sided tape, glue gun or blutak. In some trolley designs, you may need to put a hole in the sign for the drawer knob to be reattached after the sign has been applied.
HOW TO EDIT THE POWERPOINT VERSION
These made to measure labels are EDITABLE which means you can type in your desired text to suit your individual organisational needs. You will need to have Microsoft Powerpoint installed on your computer to open and edit this file.
Once unzipped from the download file, open the PowerPoint and in order to use the same font it must be installed onto your machine. A set of blanks is provided for you to create and entire set using the font of your choice. Simply duplicate the slides and edit the text boxes with your desired fonts and labels. You can bold your font, increase or decrease the size, underline… the freedom is yours.
When finished, print the slides that you need, or save all as jpeg files and then print each individually as needed

The purpose of persuasive writing is to convince readers to share your opinion or take a particular action.
To try and make your readers agree with your opinion, you build an argument based on the logical appeals of reason and evidence. You may also add emotional appeals to persuade your readers and support claims. An emotional appeal tries to use a reader’s fears, hopes, wishes, or sense of fairness to sway their opinion.
In order for students to become effective persuasive writers, it’s important they investigate how purpose will influence the persuasive strategies they use in their writing. Start by reviewing the different purposes of persuasive writing as a class. Analyze persuasive texts, or other forms of media, and then identify the purpose for the text.

WHY Number Talks?
Encourage students to discuss their answers with their peers.
How did they reach the answer?
What were they thinking in their head?
What facts did they already know that helped them?
What did they see?
Number talks will get your students engaged in meaningful mathematical conversations that will increase their ability to reason mathematically as well as develop their computational fluency skills and their ability to think flexibly about numbers.
When students engage in this short daily activity, they communicate with their peers in a safe environment where it’s okay to not be right all the time. It’s okay to learn from each other. They learn to discuss various strategies and the effectiveness of those strategies. They begin to take risks.
Use the powerpoint to model the different ways that we can visualise a given number. This set comprises the numbers 1-2, and shows the number
in a ten frame
written as a word
using hands
domino patterns
dice patterns
subitising patterns
clipart version of the number
tally marksThe powerpoint is editable so that you can change to the text that you require, and then save as a PDF prior to printing.
Ideal for students in their first term of school to establish and consolidate basic number facts.

•These worksheets are designed to be an open ended activity and reflection tool where students think about their time at school, and what they wish to achieve throughout the year.
•Ideally they need to would be re-visited at different times of the year for more reflection and discussion……to see what goals have been achieved, which new goals would they like to achieve, and which they would like to continue working on
•The students get the opportunity to share with you what they consider to be their personal strengths, their support/safety groups and the peers that they work best with. It may be a useful tool for your planning and pairing of students for various activities
•Help your children to reflect on, review, plan and achieve their targets and dreams with this handy pack of goal setting resources! The activity and display materials are perfect for use at the start of a new term and on an ongoing basis throughout the school year.
•This practice of self-evaluation is considered one of the key benefits of Goal Setting as a strategy, in that it encourages students to provide evidence they believe demonstrates they have achieved their goals, while recognising the areas they need to improve in.
•Goal Setting is one of the 1 High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) that emerged from thousands of studies around the world into teaching methodology.
•The key to this strategy is to set goals and provide success criteria that help students commit to the learning, and provide the appropriate mix of success and challenge.
•By explaining the connections between learning goals, learning activities and assessment tasks, teachers demonstrate the purpose of classroom tasks, making the learning visible to students. This helps students become self-motivated and use learning goals to monitor and progress their learning

What is a thinkboard?
It is a graphic organiser or tool to assist students to make connections across/ within and between different representations of knowledge. The more connections that are made:
•the better the understanding of the mathematics
•the more likely it will be that the mathematical knowledge is retained
•and easier it should be to apply the mathematics
The focus of the think board is on finding
the connections between the different
ways of representing a problem.
How to use them
•Arrange students into groups of four, placed around the Think Board’s four sections. Provide the students with one of the sections as a starting point and give them time to discuss the idea with their neighbours before deciding on what to record.
•You can also work on a Think Board as a whole class or individually.
Assessment
•Think Boards promote discussion – look for mathematical language used.
•Assess individual student’s understanding of a mathematical idea – look at all sections of the
•Think Board individually to find strengths and weaknesses
This resource contains both PPT and PDF versions in a ZIP file so please ensure that you have the software to open them
You will recieve a set of 5 different Thinkboards for each number and an editable version so that you can create your own.

Motivate and engage your students with these fun no games that require little or no preparation. Perfect for Morning Meeting activities
-Fun Friday games, rewards and brain breaks, this NO-PREP game bundle is highly motivating for your students.
-From time to time, as relief teachers we will go to a classroom and find that there is no lesson plan waiting. If you are familiar with the subject at hand, you can typically use the textbook as a basis for a lesson about the topic currently being taught. However, an issue arises when you know little about the class’s subject.
Improvising for Relief Teachers
-It is best to come prepared for the worst with activities and ideas of things to do with students which will engage and keep them on task. Obviously, it is always best to relate any work that you give to the subject if you can, but if not, it is still important to keep students busy and on task. In terms of classroom management, the worst thing to do is to just let them talk. This can often lead to either disruption within the class or even worse noise levels that disturb neighbouring teachers.
-There are countless skills that students can develop through game playing such as critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
-Obviously, you will need to use your best judgment about which will work with a class of students. It is also best to prepare with several of these as backups, just in case one is not working as well as you think it should. You can also get student input on which they would like to do.
-They are great fun, and I have tried every one of them in my classes.
Quickly and easily plan an activity, physical education lessons or math and spelling game with these NO PREP ideas.
-We all need to have these games up our sleeve for those lessons that may run short by 1-15 minutes, or as a brain break.
This booklet is a must have for any teacher working as a Substitute or Relief Teacher.
-Easy to implement (simply have the PDF on your phone or external drive for easy reference)
Index is hyperlinked to make finding and activity even easier for you.
Included in the booklet are over 40 activities including:
Introduction
Icebreaker Questions
Would you rather?
This or that?
Kim’s Game
Human Knots
One Fact
Sort Yourselves Out
What’s the Mystery Object?
Celebrity Head
Alphabet Letters
Guess Who I’m Thinking of?
Heads Down, Thumbs Up
Silly Sally
Going To A Party, Going To The Moon
Hula Hoop Pass
Grandpa’s House, Grandmother’s Cupboard
It Could Be Worse
…and much more!
Math Logic Puzzles and Brain teasers are a great way to start a lesson or use as a brain break. Have them on Interactive Whiteboard displayed as a classroom entry activity.
Lateral thinking is a form of problem-solving that utilizes a more creative, less direct approach to the problem. Analytical, logical problem-solving encourages vertical thinking, which is an approach we’re often taught when dealing with math equations.
Suggested ideas for use in the classroom
Give the students 5 minutes to solve the riddle or puzzles before revealing the answers. Great discussion starters as many of these may have more than one answer or explanation.
These can also be used for fast finishers as problem solving tasks. Students really enjoy the Optical illusions which are included in this pack.
Included is 1 PDF which can be easily saved on any storage device. A great addition to any Relief or Substitute teacher’s bag of tricks.
Suitable for upper primary to lower secondary students. (Answers included where necessary.)
Can you work out the answer to this one?
"All of Jenny’s pets are dogs except one. All of her pets are cats except one. How many cats and dogs does Jenny have? (HINT: Jenny has less than 5 dogs)
(Answer is at the bottom of the page)

Looking for a Collaborative Easter Project???
-Let your students work together to create a wonderful HUGE poster to proudly display in your classroom. 36 pages…enough for the largest of classes.
-Watch your students and colleagues as they admire the fantastic final product.
-Why not use it as a backdrop to take photos of your students to make personalised Easter Cards.?
I recommend printing this on heavy card to make compiling this huge poster a little easier.
-This resource is designed to be a class collaborative project, with each students working on a page of the larger puzzle/poster.
-This resource contains 35 printable pages that can be put together to make a large display poster for your classroom.
-The completed poster measures approximately 14cm wide x 14 cm high or 4’wide x 4’ high
-Use this image as a guide to see where each of these pieces go….this adds to the collaborative challenge of this project.
How to Print
-This resource comes in two versions (the choice is yours). Make sure when you are printing that you select full slide or fit to page to get the maximum image on each of the slides. This has been created using US letter (8.5 x 11 inches) but it will print in A4 size also.
-For best results print on card stock so that the corners of the pages don’t curl and each section is easier to manage.
-I highly recommend that your students use the same medium for the whole poster for consistency. In my opinion, I find crayons or pastels give an even finish whereas markers tend to give more lined effect and is more time consuming to complete
-The letter labels can be done with a different medium to create a nice contrast. Markers work well for this aspect of the group task.
How to Assemble
-My preferred method is to use masking tape, (sticky tape can become very difficult to work with for children) or alternatively have large sheets of butchers paper joined together and paste the puzzle pieces directly onto blank paper.
Some trimming may be required.
