This series of lessons is aimed at any Key Stage 2 class. The bundle contains: *A notebook taking you through a series of lessons, explaining what a howler is and discussing the success criteria * A Planning sheet so the children can lay out their thinking beforehand. * A Howler letter writing frame. After the children had written their howler, they then really enjoyed recording their howlers, using different voices for the different characters.

The Day the Crayons Quit introduction lesson. This lesson is aimed at Year 2 or 3. Contains an activity sheet with quotes on from the different crayons in the story, the aim is that the children look at the variety of letters (included in the PowerPoint) and infer which quote is from which crayon.

This series of lessons builds up the skills that the children need in order to write their own set of instructions for one of the tasks that Om and the boy carry out in the book, The Stone Age Boy. The notebook includes, pulling out the features of a WAGOLL, building a success criteria together, examples of different sections of the instructions and an opportunity for a structured shared write. My Year 3 class really enjoyed cutting out the pictures and putting them in order and then, after structuring the steps together, they could independently write their own instructions.

This bundle is based around chapter 13 and 14 of Gangsta Granny by David Walliams. The children will be taking on Mr Parker (the nosey neighbour) and reporting back to the Neighbourhood Watch Team with his findings. Weekly Plan included! The notebook takes you through a series of four detailed lessons with all resources included: plan writing frame, scans of chapter 13, differentiated report writing frames, a slip for the children to create their own success criteria and a WAGOLL. In chapter 8 of Gangsta Granny by David Walliams, it takes you through a list of 'Strictly Stars Dancing' memorabilia that Ben's parents own. This resource pack is for 4 days and requires the children to write a QVC TV advert to sell Flavio Flavioli's Sparkly shoes using persuasive features. The notebook takes you through each part of the success criteria, giving examples and opportunities for shared writes. First the children plan their advert and then the next two lessons take them through the writing process (differentiated writing frames included). There is also a vocabulary sheet so children can extend the vocabulary that they are selecting. This lesson is intended for Year 3/4, however, it can be adapted to be used for any age. This bundle of resources include everything you need for at least a week’s worth of teaching how to write a lengthy newspaper report through the exciting new book, ‘Pugs of the Frozen North’ by Phillip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre. Although this unit has been planned with Y3 in mind, it can easily be adapted to suit the needs of Y4 and Y5 classes. Included: 16 slide, step-by-step notebook with various activities as you build up the skills required to be able to write the report. (Success criteria and opportunities for modelling writing included) Orientation paragraph activity (differentiated as a cut and stick for lower ability writers) Quote sheet from various characters from the story. This bundle is linked heavily to the story of The Demon Headmaster by Gillian Cross. The characters have been in a snowball fight and were punished severely by the prefects. This series of lessons expores the for and against arguments for the punishment. I used these resources in a Year5 class but would absolutely be suitable for Year 6 and could easily be adapted for LKS2. This bundle includes a notebook giving a brief description and overview of all the stories, all the 'clues' needed for the activity and a writing frame for children to complete. The lesson leads on to looking at Count Olaf as a villain. The task (explained on the notebook) requires the children to be a detective and fill in a 'case file' on Count Olaf, explaining his misdemeanours. 'Around the room there are some envelopes with passages from the text for you to search for clues.' This lesson is aimed at any KS2 class (I am using it for my Y3 class) but could probably be used for a KS3 if adapted. Please feel free to ask questions and leave an honest review :)

This lesson is focuses on looking at the question, 'Did Jesus really perform miracles?' The detailed notebook contains the story of a poorly bear and raises the question- did bear get better because of a miracle? This then leads on to the story of Jesus healing the blind man and discussing whether this was a miracle or not. It also has an activity for the chn to complete in their books.
