It is a professional application; therefore, a cover letter is crucial. N.B. This document is guidance to support you with getting started. It must be personalised to your visit, research of the school, personal skills and qualities.

Ask 3 Before Me!

These ‘Ask 3 Before Me’ lanyards should prevent you from repeating yourself 100 times a day. As well as, giving three children responsibility to help others throughout the lesson. I love them! Feel free to add your own Bitmoji and don’t forget to tag me in your Insta post :) N.B: You will need to use the fonts ‘Modern Love’ on Word and download the font ‘Sunberry’ from DaFont online.

This is a great resource to refer to as part of the daily classroom routine. The visual and coloured zones support the children to verbalise and gauge their feelings. My class really enjoy our feelings discussions. “Good Morning Miss…, I am feeling a … today … because I …” is the usual phrase. Please let me know if you find it useful in your classroom!

Colourful pencil goodbye bookmarks

With only two weeks left of my final placement, I spent some time preparing leaving gifts. Aren’t these leaving bookmarks the sweetest? I downloaded the pencil graphic from @teacherspayteachers for free. I love the variety of colours and decided to edit these myself. I added a text box on Word for the message and personalised them with their names. All you need to do is insert a clear textbook and type away. The laminator then added the final touch. Note: Round off the point of the pencil as it is sharp once laminated. A lovely little keep sake for every child which they all loved.

Math Magician and Literacy Legend lanyards

Nothing beats a motivational incentive! The children decided on the titles ‘Literacy Legend’ and ‘Math Magician’ then I made the lanyard designs. Quick and easy! I ordered a packet of 24 colourful lanyards for £10 on Amazon (you never know when you might need a lanyard) and added the extra touch of the ‘winner’ medal to jazz it up. The children love them and do not let me forget about it at the end of the lesson. We have one child from both literacy and maths every day. They are rewarded for effort, presentation, perseverance and having a positive attitude towards their learning (linking to the school values). I truly believe it is important that children understand what they have achieved and why they have been awarded or praised for something. The lanyard therefore requires people to ask, “Why?” and reminds the child of their hard work throughout the day.
