These particular plans have been designed for a Primary Five class during the first term and follow the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

This booklet is designed to be used during the busy December month, when often it is difficult to keep the pupils engaged and still learning!

This is designed for KS2/Scottish Second Level pupils, although it could be adapted/differentiated for lower stages and levels.

Comprehensive topic plan on the Solar System for forward planning. This covers first level outcomes and has information on assessment, experiences and outcomes as well as lesson outlines. The bundle also includes a range of accompanying resources; activities, powerpoint, assessment and miscellaneous information.
This pack has the second set of the next 200 High Frequency and Tricky words in flashcard format. These are a fantastic tool for not only early level literacy but for older pupils in active spelling activities. These could also be helpful in working with EAL pupils.

This resource has been developed as part of a mini drama study based on anger management. This covers minimum two separate sessions with links to literacy, music as well as Health and Wellbeing.
Included in the resource are descriptors of a selection of warm up drama games and activities, an original rap song and lesson plan outlines.

These assessments have been designed to suit any infant stages at end of year. This provides good information for passing on to next teacher and transition between stages. Also, these can be used by the next stage teacher at the beginning of the year to gauge what the pupils have retained over the summer.
The Literacy assessment should be of use to anyone working with a phonics programme, especially with Jolly Phonics. There are also sections for assessing spelling, letter formation, sentence structure, blending and decoding and tricky word recognition. This is fully editable so that if you have taught some different tricky/high frequency words, these can be changed to suit the teaching.
The Maths and Numeracy assessment covers the following areas; Number recognition and formation to 20, addition within 20, subtraction within 10, coin recognition, 2D and 3D shape recognition, number words, O'clock times.

A set of four different worksheets for Christmas maths activities. Looking at fractions, percentages, money, addition and subtraction and problem solving. These activities are designed to be both fun and challenging and are great time fillers during the busy Christmas season or early finisher activities.
This powerpoint covers the most common 3D shapes, properties and related vocabulary.
This is a useful tool to use when revising 3D shapes and introducing the correct terminology to use when describing/identifying shapes.
This can also be used to introduce further 3D shapes following pupils previous learning in past years.

These are classroom friendly templates for developing SWOT analysis with pupils and setting Smart Goals.
These could be used on a regular basis for tracking and assessing pupils progress as well as encouraging self evaluation and taking ownership over their learning.
This Endangered Species cross curricular topic planner details the curricular outcomes (ACfE) being targeted as well as lesson ideas and suggestions for each relevant curricular area. This planner is aimed at 2nd Level/KS2 pupils. It also links to the separate topic of the Water Cycle (also available via my shop) and ties the two in together. There are accompanying worksheets on for sale separately to go alongside both topics also. These will all be on sale soon as a bundle. However, both topics would be appropriate as stand alone if desired.
Four different activities to do in class at the beginning of the new term. Getting to know you activities, friendship and relationships as well as self awareness and self efficacy activity. One of the activities is for each pupil in the class to complete a page about themselves to go into a class book. Have the pupils design a front cover, blurb and back cover, choose winning entries and have it bound to be out on display in class.

These templates are ready made for a busy teacher to be able to keep up to date records of assessment within the class.
With a separate page for each curricular area, columns for E/Os and skills assessed, type of assessment carried out and date of assessment, this is a practical and comprehensive way to keep track of pupil learning and development. Whilst this has been designed initially with the Curriculum for Excellence in mind, it is easily adaptable to any curriculum.
There is both a PDF and word version available as this can be either kept as an online working document on word, or used as a write upon document in a file in class.

New Year Story starter/assessment - this story starter covers elements of VCOP and imaginative writing, giving pupils a chance to write in a genre of their choice, based on New Year's Eve.
Highlights of 2016 - a worksheet set out like a poster of polaroid photos, pupils can draw four of their favourite moments of the past year and caption them. This has been created for A3 size.
New Year Learning and Personal Resolutions - pupils can set both learning and personal targets and resolutions for the coming year, with space for them to detail why they have chosen this resolution and how they intend to achieve it.
