New AQA A-Level Chemistry Amino acids, Proteins & DNA Learning Grid

(0)
This resource is intended as a collaborative revision activity. It is suitable for the Amino acids, Proteins and DNA (3.3.14) topic of the new AQA A-Level Chemistry course. Students work in small groups and take turns to roll 2 dice in order to determine a square on the grid. The student must then describe/explain the contents of the square to the rest of the group. This can be made more challenging by determining two separate squares and making links between them both. There is a second grid containing ? squares, where students could be required to answer an exam-style question, or some other activity - this is entirely up to you! Includes a learning checklist for the topic

Edexcel A-Level Chemistry: Atomic Structure Learning Grid

(0)
Designed as a revision task for Topic 1 - Atomic structure. The learning grid allows groups of 2 or 3 students to work together to review the topic. Each student rolls 2 dice to get a ‘grid reference’ and they then have to explain what is contained in that square. This can be made more challenging by rolling the dice twice and making links between the 2 squares identified. There is also a second version, where students must answer an exam-style question if they land on the ? square. Learning checklist included to check initial understanding and progress made. Now also includes suggested answers.
