A follow on lesson to ‘Where Does Our Food Come From?’ from my shop. Children explore the impact of food wastage, what countries are mostly responsible for this and create advisory posters of ways in which to reduce food wastage in the UK.

A lesson ideally for upper KS2 designed to explore where our food comes from and the biggest exporters around the world. Children will need access to school atlases and a blank map (can not include as it is from Twinkl). First of two lessons about natural resources for KS2 Geography. A week long unit to tie in with a topic on Ancient Egypt. Children learn to write a diary entry as an Ancient Egyptian by collecting key facts and information, drama, looking at features of diaries before writing their own which they publish and produce.
