KS3 Fun Filled Mathematic Activity with many Cross-Curricular Links! This resource includes a complete original investigation using the formula for speed distance and time. In this pack you receive: A word document which has the pages ordered numerically A word document which has the pages ordered in a manner that allows you to print 2 sided and fit 2 pages onto one A4 page which creates a booklet. This activity challenges pupils to read information and to use high-order thinking and problem solving skills to decide which suspect is telling the truth in an investigation relating to a collision between a bicycle and a car. This lesson would take approximately 1-2 hours depending on the ability of your class. My pupils really enjoyed the opportunity to be investigators for a day and I got really good evaluative feedback on this resource by a tutor. It provides opportunity to promote literacy skills in mathematics and collaboration It took me a long time to create this resource and as a student teacher I would really appreciate any feedback and ratings on where to improve.

Investigation Worksheet - A fun activity for pupils where they must identify a suspect through identifying the properties of 2D shapes. Also contains a grid at the end for pupils to insert their bingo choices Lesson Plan - A lesson plan containing learning intentions, questioning and lesson format I used this for a year 8 lesson (11/12 years old) and pupils really enjoyed the bingo and investigation activity! The investigation activity is a very useful format that can be very easily adapted to other topics.

A worksheet on converting between metric and imperial units and a traffic light system exit ticket. The exit ticket will ask pupils to self evaluate the learning from the lesson allowing you to assess the achievement of the learning intentions. The exit ticket is most effective if the class teacher marks these personally.

There are two worksheets attached in this resource bundle. The first worksheet is pupils answer worksheet where they will fill in the code once they have solved each clue and matched them to the correct number. The second worksheet is the clues and answers. There are four pages and it is intended that these are printed 2 pages to one sheet of A4 paper, 2 sided. This will result in the table with the clues having the enter or number 1-9 on the back of the clue. Pupils begin with the clue labeled enter . They will solve this clue and locate the answer on the right hand side of the next clue. Winning Code = Enter - 3 - 7 - 6 - 1 - 4 - 9 - 8 - 2 - 5 - Enter I completed this lesson with year nine pupils (age 12/13) but this can be very easily differentiated to match the ability of your pupils! The percentages and quantities are easily changed This activity promotes the use of literacy in the mathematic classroom.
