This is for when the children have finished their English task and need another activity to complete. There are 10 different cards which get the children to think about different vocabulary that they could use instead of ‘boring words’ such as big, small and said. I encourage my children to keep these in their stationary packs and they can use them during writing sessions to use more ambitious vocabulary.

This resource is to help the children to become more independent and responsible for their own work. They can use this as a check list to ensure their work is to a high standard before asking me as a teacher to check. The children love the fact they have a checklist to check their work against.

This resource is for the children who finish the set task early. The are able to complete these tasks independently in a jotter.
