"In a Pickle" Help Sign for Desks

Instead of raising their hands for help, students can put this sign on their desks when they are working and get “in a pickle”. Conversely, the other side of the sign signals that they do not need help because it’s “no big dill”. Two color signs printed per page in the pdf file. The first page is for individual student use. The second page is for pairs/groups to use. You may fold the sign in half and students put the desired picture toward the front of their desk. Another way to use the sign is to cut out both pictures, tape the backs together and laminate.

I have included directions for four ways to play (Splat game, matching, ABC order and writing), but the cards can be used in unlimited ways throughout the school year. Color and blackline cards are both in the pdf file. There are two recording sheets for accountability.
