Allows pupils to use PowerPoint to develop self independent skills to carry out tasks by themselves at Merit/Distinction level. This relates to the assessment sheet for AO3 of the new unit 1 spec.

Two documents attached, a word document with some questions about a spreadsheet, they have to put in the answers to work out how to calculate each item. Included is the spreadsheet to get pupils to develop their skills independently. This was used in a y7 lesson.

Used for a Y7 low ability lesson to introduce spreadsheet. I have included the spreadsheet with this to allow you to do extension tasks based on this. Please comment if you use it.

OCR Nationals ICT Level 2 new spec for 2010. AO5 spreadsheet practice task. These resources help pupils get to grasp with formulas/functions and arithmetic operators that includes a guide of some of the formulas to use for their real project. There are differentiated worksheets for PASS, MERIT and DISTINCTION to allow pupils specific LO for their targeted level, includes tasks related to formatting the spreadsheet. This was a nice practice assignment for my current year 10 to allow them to develop their skills. Please comment if you use in your lessons.

This workbook was put together as an additional resource for pupils to self independently create links to a PowerPoint. I demonstrated the skills and pupils used this in addition. It shows how to link slides together using text boxes, images, action buttons and shapes as well as to an external website.

Database practice task based on a fiction mobile phone shop. Skills matched to the OCR Level 2 New unit 1 specification. Task sheet includes levelled tasks (Pass/Merit/Distinction) with an accompanying lesson presentation and help step by step guide for pass pupils. Unable to upload a database but included is a screenshot of the database required for you to set up. Please comment on these resources if you use them in class.

This helpsheet will allow pupils to work in pairs to help each other to use filters. As I can't upload a database I have included a screenshot of what the table should have in it. This worked well in a Y7 lesson when I got all the 1's to save a copy of the database in their documents, and all the 2's to access the worksheet on their computer. It's up to you how you deliver it though, I have attached it in word so you can alter it.

Spot the difference between two spreadsheets. One has been formatted one hasn’t. Get pupils to comment on the bad and good features. Good starter to get them to understand how a spreadsheet can be improved by using formatting tools.

I used this worksheet with a low ability group to learn them how to use goal seek, I followed this up by giving them scenario's to work independently using the Hoolas spreadsheet.
