OCR A level Biology (H020 - from 2015) 2.1.1 How organelles work together

A lesson designed to illustrate the division of labour within cells using the production and secretion of a protein. Ppt, worksheet, starter and plenary included. Students should work in small groups (possibly with mini white boards) to establish the step by step process which results in the secretion of a protein. Once they have come up with their own ideas they can then attempt to order the statements from the pre-prepared sheet. If this is done correctly students should be able to use previous notes on cell structure to identify the structures involved and the order of the steps. The lesson is finished with a short test as a plenary.

OCR A Level Biology - Module 3 Co-ordination of cardiac cycle

This is the sixth lesson in a series of one hour lessons for module 3. This lesson covers control of the cardiac cycle. It includes a detailed Ppt, with lesson outcomes matched to the specification, a worksheet and a card sort activity. I usually find a past exam question to compliment the learning.

OCR A Level Biology (H020) - Module 3 - Structure of the heart

This is the fourth lesson in a series of lessons for module 3 on the structure of the heart. I use this Ppt linked to a heart dissection (this could include the required practical covering dissection). The download includes a Ppt, with learning outcomes matched to the specification, and diagrams to label.
