The first lesson in my Year 9 scheme of work on Hitler and the Nazis. This lesson deals with why Hitler came to power. Often this subject can be hard to simplify into one lesson but this one effectively gives pupils a brief understanding of why he was able to come to power. It uses a card sort and then linking activity to show the major factors. All required resources are included. Learning Outcomes: To know the reasons why Hitler came to power in 1933. This lesson focuses on the war in the Pacific and runs through the medium of a map, video and sources which the pupils analyse to enable them to answer questions on the campaign - particularly the nature of it.
