*Please note this is an IT based lesson* Lesson 2 in the Cambridge GCSE History scheme of work on Containment in Vietnam. This lesson focuses on the different methods and tactics used in Vietnam by both the Americans and Vietnamese. Resources include a powerpoint, a slide pack to email to pupils and a flow chart till fill in when listening to others presentations. My pupils always respond really well to this particular flipped learning lesson. All required resources are included there is no textbook work (IT suite needed) Learning Outcomes:

Here is a Year 9 lesson (could be adapted) which I teach immediately following my SOW on WW1. The lesson is on Spanish Flu as most of my pupils tend not to have heard of it and I find it a really interesting lesson for helping them to understand disease as well as war. All resources are included. The lesson involves a picture activity. A video, a flow chart and a final assessment. Learning Outcomes: To understand what Spanish flu was. To understand the consequences of Spanish Flu. To assess which was a worse event for the world; World War I or Spanish Flu?
