This digital Escape Room is asking the students to free Mia who is locked in a room. The students need to locate clues and hints for whole number real life problems and solve them. The door unlocker is a Google Form which provides positive feedback for all clues solved correctly. The escape room is a straightforward activity and it is fairly easy to locate clues and hints. The Escape Room is contained in a Google Site that has all instructions, clues and hints required. This site will work on all platforms – computers, laptops, iPads, tablets and phones – however the larger the screen the better and a phone is really too small. It will also function correctly on Chrome books. The learner doesn’t need a Google Account. No teacher prep is necessary. Learner needs digital access to the internet to use this resource. It’s a great resource for the beginning or end of semester to check the student’s math thinking skills. Suitable for multiple year levels from Grade 5 to Grade 8 depending on skill level.
