Rainbow all about me activity perfect for the beginning of the year or as a transition activity. Makes an eye catching display for the beginning of the year. Fully editable document so you can add or remove information and visuals, as well as change font and size. There are two ways you can use this document:
Print a cloud with all the strips already attached, cut around the cloud and the strips, saves a lot of time.
Print clouds separately and then the strips on coloured paper.
Teach your students to read, record and understand numbers and how they work with this poster set. They have been designed as the perfect visual to keep displayed in your classroom all year round to support your teaching and student’s learning when it comes to place value and our number system.
Place value is a vital mathematical concept but can be a difficult one for students. It is the key to understanding our number system and so many other mathematical skills depend on a solid understanding of it. It is a concept that needs to be explicitly taught and revised for students to gain a deep understanding.
Display these posters according to the size of the numbers your students are working with and add to your display as the year progresses and students begin to work with larger numbers.
This resource includes letter families for children to practise their formation, this is grouped by families and also single letters. I used it for interventions, homework and Literacy books for children who would mirror certain letters. It also has a power point with all the families and handwriting paper to model formation to children.
I also added A3 mats for each letter family so children can practise three letters at a time, which proved very popular in my class.
Phonics practice tests with QR codes. Simply scan with any smart device and practice. Used it in the classroom so children can easily upload the materials and practice. Also useful for parents evening as a handout, so children can practice at home.
