This assembly is inspired by a recent BBC article which showed how a Canadian photographer has photo shopped himself into childhood pictures. You may wish to add perspectives from staff in your own school or bend the truth and use these (the assembly references comments from my tutor team)

These two documents are all your students need to get started on their first compositions. The introduction to composition pack is 20 pages of clear advice, illustrated with Sibelius 7 created examples which takes them through harmonic progressions, melody writing, phrasing and articulation. The second sheet is there to keep them on track - giving them space to record their ideas and see how their composition is progressing. This is a complete Scheme of Work for a Year seven music class. Containing listening, composing and performing activities it is designed around the use of single line melody instruments or keyboards.
