Lesson teaching students how to approach AQA English Language Paper 2 Question 5. Students learn how to plan effectively using purpose, audience and form. Students are given example texts to help identify PAF and how writers adapt their style to suit. Students are then given an AQA exam style question to attempt. Example openings and a success criteria are also included to help students with this.

A detailed lesson looking at Gerald from An Inspector Calls. The lesson focuses on Gerald’s treatment of women in the play. Students will explore the context and Priestley’s presentation of the upper class in order to make connection with the characters and main themes. Lesson includes quote analysis and exam style questions. UPDATED: lesson also includes an essay example. Students have to highlight and annotate the use of Assessment Objectives and award it a grade.
