Using the idea of Dragons’ Den, students will work together to create their own theme park. As the teacher, you will only act as a facilitator. They will have to assign roles within their group, work out costings (budget sheets included), write a pitch (questions included to help) and pitch their idea to the ‘dragons’.

Worksheet looking at sentence structures. Students will first look at the definitions of simple, compound, complex and minor sentence. They will then have to identify what sentence type has been used in a series of sentences, ending with rewriting a piece of writing using a variation of sentence forms.

Detailed lesson for the AQA Power and Conflict poetry text ‘Remains’. Students read and watch interviews from ex-soldiers to gain understanding of the contextual ideas that may help their understanding of the poem. 14 lessons covering Chapter 1-10 of 'The Sign of Four'. Each lesson covers a particular chapter or theme in detail. Throughout the course of the unit, students will have opportunities to practise exam style questions, peer and self assess, whilst familiarizing themselves on the Assessment Objectives and marking criteria in order to be successful in the exam. In addition, each lesson has either a spelling test, idiom or punctuation task to complete as a settler. A homework booklet with 7 weeks worth of exam questions for 'The Sign of Four' have also been included, with mid-week homework tasks revising 'Macbeth' and English Language Paper questions.
