Digital education company TSL Education, which hosts the largest online network of teachers in the world, today announced it has been included in the 2013 Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For list.

This is the first year that TSL, which secured 93rd place on the prestigious listing, has taken part in the Best Companies survey. Best Companies polls the employees of companies in its survey about the way they feel about the company they work for; the survey covers several areas, including its leadership team, employee well-being, community involvement, employee personal growth, and day-to-day management.

TSL is best known for its management of the highly successful transition of its 100 year-old print TES brand into an award-winning digital business. The company, which also owns the TES, TESS and Times Higher Education, hosts the largest single-profession social network in the world - TES Connect.com, which has almost 2.5 million registered members across 197 countries. TES Connect is home to a vibrant bank of over 580,000 lesson plans and teaching resources, the majority of which are user-generated and free to download. In addition, TES is the market leader in teacher recruitment in the UK and manages the movement of over 50,000 teachers every year.

TSL's popularity with, and commitment to, teachers all around the world has led to expansion in the US, with the recent launch of Share My Lesson.com in partnership with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). The creation of Share My Lesson, which has secured over 200,000 registered members over just one term, is one more way in which TSL fulfills its mission to drive up standards of education by putting the right teachers in the right jobs and giving them the tools to be the very best that they can be.

TSL Education CEO Louise Rogers said, "I'm delighted that TSL has been named one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for. This is the first year we've entered this awards process and the fact that the ranking is based on our employees' individual survey responses is not only humbling, it reflects the company's strong team culture and commitment to what we do - which is help teachers across the world achieve excellence for themselves and their students. We have a team of hugely talented people working at TSL and the company would not be where it is today without them - I'm very pleased to see my colleagues and our business recognised in this way. It's extremely important to me that TSL provides the type of working environment our people deserve. "

TSL Education was acknowledged by Best Companies and The Sunday Times for being a company at which, "Employees believe they can make a valuable contribution to the success of this digital education business returning an 82% positive score."
