About the Around-the-Room “I Ate” “Who Ate?” game cards: Give 16 cards to students. Choose a student to go first (the cards go in a circle, so it does not matter which card you begin with).

The student reads the bottom line of the card (Who ate 1/8?). Each student determines what fraction of a pizza he or she ate by looking at the extra-cheese portion of the pizza on the top of the card. The person with the named fraction card claims it by saying “I ate 1/8!” He or she then asks the question on the bottom of the card. The game continues until the students return to the beginner again.

*The cards are included with a color border and again with a plain border for those who need to save ink.

Included fractions are 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1/3, 2/3, 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 1/6, 5/6.
