Tes acquires Standards Tracker

Tes further extends its ability to support staff development in schools with the acquisition of Standards Tracker

Standards Tracker provides all the tools a school needs to align staff and organisational goals through a single online platform. The schools gain from simplification and the ease of a single point of data, while staff are empowered by increased transparency and the ability to take control of their own professional development and career.

Rod Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Tes, said: “Tes already supports schools globally with the development, organisation, retention and wellbeing of staff. However, schools have a huge challenge in managing the process of staff professional development – with multiple data sets, unclear goals and often inefficient paper-based processes causing confusion and wasted time. Tes’ Staff Management solution provides best-in-class tools for schools to connect the needs of staff and staffing challenges. By adding Standards Tracker, it will allow us to continue to improve the support and connectivity of staff objectives, training needs and achievements as teachers progress through their careers”.

Tes acquires Standards Tracker from Educate, based in Cardiff. James de Bassco-founder, and CEO of Educate said: “We have worked hard with schools to develop and establish Standards Tracker as a highly valuable tool for both school leaders and staff. It’s very complimentary to how Tes already supports schools, and they have the ability to take it to the next level, making this an obvious choice for us. Having a company like Tes, who is so passionate about school wellbeing and standards, makes us feel proud to see how this will now move forward”.

Standards Tracker offers a single dashboard and platform that manages staff self-evaluation, development, appraisals and employee engagement, as well as continuous performance management and career development. Quick reports show where progress has been made and help identify strengths and weaknesses, all to inform strategic priorities. With the option to export and save as images or spreadsheet data, these can be included in official reports in just a few clicks.

Tes recently launched its new Staff Management offering, which gives schools a cost-effective subscription to recruit staff, manage wellbeing, develop skills, and comply with safeguarding needs. Standards Tracker offers clear and immediate advantages to further enhance how Tes can support the development and wellbeing of staff, and at the same time reduce the administrative burden that all schools must tackle.
