This is a 15-20 minute assembly, PSHE or tutor time session covering what the Prevent strategy is. It includes some videos and discussion points around Prevent and information about how to spot signs of radicalisation. This was originally delivered to KS3 and KS4 but could also be suitable for KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). There are no written tasks in this presentation, it is an overview of these topics in line with the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, SMSC and Fundamental British Values. It could also be used in an assembly or whole school setting as a quick reminder of Prevent and Radicalisation. It can be lengthened or shortened depending on the timing of the session. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. Students reacted well to this session and some important and interesting discussions were had.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12). It covers: Why it is so important to show positive language in school The power of words Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear How we can show positive language What situations we need to show positive language How we can support cyberbullying Code of conduct Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer. The session is all narrated but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

This is a fully resourced lesson about how Martin Luther King’s Christian beliefs influenced his actions. It has an excellent starter sheet, carousel activity, discussion tasks, written tasks and an interactive plenary. It goes through the influence of the Bible, group prayer, being a pastor, non-violent protest & Jesus. It includes information on Civil Rights but its focus is on Martin Luther King’s Christian faith. This pack includes everything you need for this lesson which has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted and included in a Summary report for a secondary school. It has a full lesson plan, differentiated questions, a powerpoint, worksheets and an interactive powerpoint plenary. This plenary can also be adapted and used for other lessons. Buy this and have one lesson for Ofsted totally planned and resourced for you. This lesson is suitable for KS2, KS3 or KS4 (Ages 7-16). It was originally a 60 minute year 8 lesson but can easily last 90 minutes or it can be shortened if needed.

This is a 15 minute assembly about positive relationships. It can be used as part of tutor time, a whole school assembly for 11-18 year olds or as part of a lesson or on an online learning platform. This can be used for PSHE, Citizenship, SMSC, Tutor Time, Assemblies, Whole School days, Online Platforms and teaches the students how to have positive relationships in their lives. It talks about prejudice, discrimination, bullying and aims to teach students how to have positive relationships. Students responded really well to this whole school assembly.

I have taught this both to Year 8 and Year 10 and it has been received well by all students and improved their learning about Christian pilgrimage. It is suitable for KS3 & KS4 (Aged 11-16) as part of the Religious Education KS3 curriculum or AQA pilgrimage part of Christian Beliefs GCSE topic.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about online safety. It covers why students need to stay safe online, what the risks are and how to get help if needed. It also covers what particular things to be careful of e.g. address etc. It includes discussion activities and no written tasks. It fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time session or assembly. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but it is suitable for any class at KS3 (Years 7-9 Ages 11-14). It includes two downloaded video clips so they will never disappear.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time PSHE session or assembly on healthy living. It covers what a healthy diet is and what an unhealthy diet it. It has some interactive anagrams, discussion activities and three downloaded video clips that will never disappear! It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but can be used for any year group at KS2 - KS4 (Years 5-11 Ages 9-16) and is suitable to be used as an assembly or whole school session.

This is a 15-20 minute tutor time PSHE session on charity volunteering. It can be used as a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12, Years 7-13). It does not have any written tasks just two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and discussion questions so students can find out what they can volunteer for and why they would benefit from voluntary work. This can be lengthened or shortened to fit a tutor time, assembly or a lesson for PSHE, Citizenship, Fundamental British Values, SMSC and Character Education. It contains some videos, discussions and points to think about which are key to keeping positive at school and in life in general. Pupils responded very well to this resource. This is a 15 minute PSHE session or assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5. It was originally used as a tutor time KS3 PSHE session. It teaches students the correct behaviour in lessons and how to manage their own behaviour. It has discussion questions linking to the low level disruption comments from Ofsted and gets students to consider zero-tolerance school policies and the effects of poor behaviour on learning. It also covers why students should not disrupt lessons and discusses a variety of questions about behaviour in lessons. This can be shortened or lengthened if you need it for a whole lesson or as just part of an assembly. I has a downloaded video clip that will never disappear! Students responded really well to this session.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about National Careers Week 2022. It can easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson because of the links on the last slide for further activities. It is suitable for the whole school (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, KS3-KS4-KS5) and is a useful way to advertise careers education in your school and give students the necessary links to research further. his is a 10-15 minute assembly about vaccinations. It is not specifically about Covid 19 vaccinations but more about vaccinations in childhood and in general. However, it could easily be used to cover Covid-19 vaccinations as well. It is suitable for KS3-KS4 (Ages 11-18, Grades 6-13, Years 7-13) and was originally a year 9 tutor time PSHE session. It focuses on the key question, Why is getting vaccinated so important for public health? It covers: What vaccines are and why they are important 3 short downloaded videos that will never disappear about: WHO immunisation for all programme A world without vaccines How vaccines work It ends with a plenary discussion task There are no written activities just information and discussion. This fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum, PSHE or Whole School assembly approach to Healthy Living.

This was originally a 60 minute Year 10 lesson to introduce the world of work and preparing for job interviews. It covers body language, dress, how to give a good impression at an interview, body language and some suggested careers. There is a worksheet to accompany it with this lesson but it can be used without it. This lesson is suitable for older KS3-KS4 pupils (13-18 years old) and as part of their PSHE, Careers or Work Experience session in a tutor time. It can be easily shortened or lengthened and has worked well with my students.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about emergency first aid. It covers how to perform CPR and stop heavy bleeding. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) and can be used as a tutor time session, PSHE or Citizenship lesson or Health whole school assembly. It fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum of 2020 but can be used for other purposes to teach people these important life saving skills. It includes: What CPR is How to perform CPR How to stop bleeding when someone is bleeding heavily What a defribrillator is Infographics to remind students of first aid Dual coding and discussion task This does not include any written activities but ends in a discussion task about whether you should give anyone who needs it CPR. There may be BBC links in that only work in the UK. This was originally used for a Year 11 PSHE tutor time session about emergency first aid after an introduction to CPR earlier in the year and in school. This is a 15 minute assembly about exam stress suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It is especially useful in the run up to any periods of assessment or exams. It covers different ways and tips to manage exam stress by three downloaded short video clips that will never disappear! It has some discussion questions but this session could be lengthened by students writing notes and their own revision plan if you needed it to last a whole lesson. It was originally a Year 9 tutor time PSHE session about the importance of looking after student’s mental health in the run up to an assessment period. It fits into the new Relationships & Health Education, the Mental Health agendas, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Careers and Exam Skills and the PSHE Curriculum or it can be used as a whole school resource as an assembly.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about being an entrepreneur. It is suitable as an assembly, a tutor time PSHE, Citizenship or Careers session and offers a snapshot of entrepreneurship. It covers: Definitions of entrepreneur What personal qualities you need Thinking task about the advantages and disadvantages of this career A video about qualities of an entrepreneur A video about how to be an entrepreneur There are discussion questions but no written tasks. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. This can fit into Careers Education, the new RSE & Health Curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum and SMSC and FBV. Students received this session very well and interesting discussions came out of it.
