GCSE resits grade boundaries: 18% needed for 4 in maths

GCSE resits results for November are out – and Edexcel, AQA and OCR have published the grade boundaries

Students taking Edexcel’s higher tier GCSE maths in November needed just 18 per cent for a grade 4.

GCSE resit results published today show the proportion of learners achieving a grade 4 or higher in English and maths has dropped.

Overall, there were more than 97,550 entries across the two subjects between the AQA (51,342), Edexcel (42,586) and OCR (3,622) exam boards.

The proportion achieving a grade 4 or higher in English language in November 2019 with AQA was 30.8 per cent, with Edexcel the proportion was 36.8 per cent while at OCR it stood at 49.9 per cent.

Grade boundaries

In maths, the proportion of students achieving a grade 4 or higher in November 2018 with AQA was 27 per cent, 26.5 per cent with Edexcel and with OCR it was 23.9 per cent.
