FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade C, Point 5 – 7, £19,650 - £20,444, per annum pro-rata

Actual Salary: £9,411 - £9,792 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time; term-time (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 20 hours per week; Monday to Friday


About the role

Millbay Academy is an all through primary to secondary school and is looking to recruit a data administrator as part of the admin team that supports the whole school on a range of administrative duties. 

The job involves working within recognised procedures and will be focused on maintenance of manual and computerised records/management systems including input and collection of student progress data and production of data reports and financial administration and undertaking specific duties that support the day to day administrative operations of the school. 


About the successful candidate

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated, analytical person who is very well organised and with a can-do attitude.   We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent qualification or experience
  • GCSE Mathematics and English – Grade C and above or equivalent
  • Experience of manual and computerised record/information systems and experience of data input and production of reports
  • Good knowledge of general computer packages including spreadsheets and databases and office equipment e.g. Microsoft Office, photocopier, telephones etc.
  • Good keyboarding skills for the production of routine correspondence and emails with occasional typing
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to exchange information with a range of audiences (e.g. staff, students, parents and others) including whilst covering reception
  • Previous experience of working in a school, whilst is not essential would be desirable.
