Hello, we’re Tes
We’re a global education business. We started out in print more than 100 years ago as The Times Educational Supplement. Fast forward to today and we’ve grown in partnership with teachers and schools around the world to become one of the largest, professional digital communities, connecting and supporting more than 13 million educators globally.
Then and now, our commitment to supporting schools and teachers is at the heart of everything we do.
Our vision
We power schools and enable great teaching worldwide, by creating intelligent online products and services to make the greatest difference in education.
How we can help you
We work with 25,000 schools in more than 100 countries. Whether you’re newly-qualified, an experienced teacher or a school leader, we want to simplify your working life by freeing up your time so you can focus on what matters most – changing lives.
We help schools find and recruit the teachers they need and connect teachers with job opportunities across the globe; we bring new teachers into the profession through initial teacher training; we help in-service teachers to progress with continuous professional development and we support whole school communities with our safeguarding and duty of care online learning service.
We provide innovative services and access to over 900,000 teacher-made resources to help teachers succeed in the classroom – supporting the English national curriculum and other English language curricula including International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International in UK and international schools. We also bring educators together online to share expertise and keep up-to-date with the latest education news, research and analysis.
Our people
A global company, Tes Global employs over 600 people operating across 10 offices, including in London, Sheffield, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, and Dubai. We’re a diverse group of people from all over the world. Many of us have a background in education, some of us are former teachers or school leaders and we’re all brought together by one common purpose – we genuinely care about supporting and helping schools and teachers both in the UK and internationally.
For teachers
For schools
Living our vision
Our vision informs everything we do, and beyond our products and services, these three programmes help us to achieve it.
Helping UK schools to develop home-grown talented teachers
Created in response to the looming teacher crisis in the UK, our new, free programme helps schools to give their students an insight into teaching and raise their interest in choosing it as a career.
Camfed Zambia and Tes:
Enhancing teachers’ skills internationally
Our programme with Camfed provides quality teaching and learning resources
for teachers to use in remote under-resourced schools in Zambia, and provides
them with knowledge and skills to pass on to their colleagues.
Vision Active:
Employee engagement programme
To help our employees stay connected with the education world,
we give them four days a year to take part in education-related
volunteering opportunities, organised and supported through Tes.
