Job overview

The applicant should be educated to degree level with a recognised teaching qualification and the ability to motivate students to realise their full potential.  In the first instance the post is to cover maternity leave and the successful applicant will be teaching OCR AS English Literature (specifically units on Christina Rossetti and The Tempest, but also providing revision support for 1984 and A Streetcar Named Desire). It is possible that the applicant may be required to teach on other of our Level 2 and Level 3 English courses. 

The successful applicant will join a large, vibrant and very successful English and Languages department. Previous experience of teaching A Level English Literature or Language and Literature is essential. A willingness to support students and act as a Personal Tutor to help students realise their potential is also essential.
