The Sunnyside Primary Academy currently has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Learning Assistant to support a named pupil.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Assistant to work with a named pupil within the Early Years Foundation Stage. Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation.

Having a range of skills and expertise for alternative curriculum such as cooking, therapy experience and outdoor interests would be advantageous but not essential. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills.
  • be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • possess excellent communication skills, at all levels in order to be able to liaise effective with parent/carers and outside agencies.
  • have previous experience of working in a similar role.

The role is for 30 hours a week, term time only therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
