Oaklands is a thriving special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils aged 11 – 19, have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; we are currently working towards expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. Once full, Oaklands will operate on two sites, will a primary school on a separate site. A specialist independent College will operate on our Secondary Site.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic member of staff with good team working skills to work 1:1 with one of our sixth form students. We are particularly interested in recruiting people who have previous experience of working with young people who have special needs. The student in question has a physical disability. Applicants must be physically fit and willing to undertake personal care including toileting and feeding.
This position is advertised as a fixed term contract in line with agreed funding for the pupil.

Oaklands is an ‘outstanding’ special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students and we serve a socially and ethnically diverse population, with children coming from within Hounslow and the surrounding Boroughs.
