Welcome and thank you for your interest in our school. We hope that our website will provide you with any information you need, as well as providing you with a flavour of life at St Andrew’s.

As a church school, our vision is centred around striving for good, and the good we bring to others.

Making a difference for good, with each other, everyone, in our community.

Our strap line '#makeadifference' underpins all that we do at St Andrew's.  Our reward/behaviour system links directly to the #makeadifference concept, and children earn starfish points for examples of making a difference  whether through their actions, their words or their attitude to their own learning.

We believe that education really is the lighting of a fire and our aim is to equip our children with the academic, social and emotional skills to succeed in life. Our school is on an exciting journey, and the belief that every child deserves an excellent education every day is what motivates us in all we do.

We know that children achieve when they are inspired and motivated, and we work hard to create those opportunities which do just that. Our vision of making a difference reflects our belief that as children of God, each and every one of us should aspire to live our lives to the fullest; from the appreciation of the smallest creation to the highest aspirations we can hold. We believe that before any child can meet new challenges and take risks, they need to establish a feeling of safety and security. At St Andrew’s we are proud of our nurture and care of individuals and we actively promote well being and living well through healthy and balanced lifestyles. We recognise the importance of partnerships between home and school in enabling our children to flourish and are constantly seeking new ways to further strengthen our excellent partnerships with parents and carers.

These elements of inspiration, aspiration and living well are the key drivers for the St Andrew's curriculum.

We would love you to take the time to make a personal visit to our school to see how we work and experience the unique atmosphere of St Andrew’s.  If you would like to take the opportunity to do so, then please contact the school to arrange a time when I can show you around.
