Welcome from the Principal

Welcome to the Northern Education Trust Kearsley Academy website. We hope you enjoy it and are able to gain a good understanding of our Academy and the vision and values that underpin all of the work that we do here at Kearsley Academy.

“We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. By doing this we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care.”

Kearsley Academy is an inclusive school and values the contribution made by students, staff, Governors, parents and members of the local community. Our commitment to collaborative learning to achieve academic success that will lead to enhanced life chances for students can be summed up with the phrase ‘Outcomes Focused, Child Centered‘. We know that to students and parents, high quality qualifications and strong levels of support mean everything in continuing on in the next phase of further education, and the world of work and employment.

I know I speak for all students, staff and Governors when I say that we are incredibly proud of the hard work and achievements of all of our students – the most important people in our Academy. Our focus on learning is a driving force behind all that we do and students experience a rich and challenging curriculum, both inside and outside of the Academy, providing opportunities to continue to excel in the Academy and the wider community. Enrichment opportunities outside of the classroom allow students the chance to make new friends, and experience opportunities based on interest. We have regular clubs including sports, chess, music, drama and art, to name a few as well as trips and outings and charity events too.

Whether you are viewing our website as a potential or current student, or you are interested in joining us as a place of work or just to find out more about us, I am sure you will join me in my belief that Kearsley Academy is an excellent Academy. I feel very privileged to be the Principal here and I hope our website will help you to find out more about us.
