Lumen Christi Catholic College is a leading and vibrant co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 College located in the beautiful Pambula beach on the far south coast of New South Wales. Established in 2001, the College has an excellent reputation, not only in the local community, but also more broadly within the education sector.We are a proud school and hold the spirit, culture and traditions of the College as vital to the formation of our students as we educate future leaders of society.  

An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a Aboriginal Education Worker, to work as part of the supportive team, continuing to create a center which strives to be a place of excellence in teaching and learning. The role is responsible for supporting Aboriginal students within classrooms and the broader school setting as well as enhancing the partnership between families of Aboriginal students and the College and support all staff in matters relating to Aboriginal education.

This is a part-time (36 hours per fortnight) temporary position commencing 15 October 2018 until 28 January 2019.

Note: This position has a strong involvement with, and requires a deep understanding of the issues relating to and affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively in this regard.  The College is committed to increasing the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Islander People within our community, and we welcome applications for this position from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CE policy.
