Academic Advisor and Team Leader

Institut auf dem Rosenberg seeks a qualified and international academic advisor and team leader with experience of providing guidance counselling and strong skills in communication with parents. This is an exciting, student-focused role, which combines both business and educational skill-set. 

A successful candidate would demonstrate a passion for meeting each child’s individual needs, through creative solutions and have experience of implementing strategies proactively as well as communicating them to parents. The candidate would be able to plan courses for individualised education, including cross-curricular planning, as well as collating teacher feedback. Experience of successfully delivering cross-cultural projects to tight deadlines is key.  

Successful candidates should have the following qualities:

-  at least 5 years working in an international school environment

-       experience in teaching for external exams such as  IGCSEs, A levels and working in an IB school

-       at least 2 years experience of responsibility for supporting students through academic guidance and 

-       strong management skills and a proven track record of managing a team

-       strong administration skills and efficient IT and organisation skills

-       impeccable English and an understanding of how to communicate with parents from other cultures

Candidates should also have the experience of: 

- supporting students to apply to universities

- teaching High School Diploma courses

- fluency in a language other than English is welcome
