Purpose of the role:

This ‘outstanding’ Sixth Form College, based in Manchester, is looking to appoint an Academic Mentor to help and inspire our students to get the best possible outcome in their studies. Working alongside the Divisional Lead, the successful candidate will aid curriculum delivery by providing assistance and coaching to individuals and small groups of students. You will be working closely with teaching staff to develop our students’ academic and organisational skills as well as tracking their progress. This role would suit, but is not limited to, a recent graduate looking to make their first step into a career in education. 

This is a fixed term position until the end of the academic year 2022/2023.

Hours/Contract: Full time (35 hours per week), term time plus 4 weeks (0.93 FTE), fixed term until 19th July 2023 in the first instance

Salary: £20,126  per annum (pro rata of point 7 on SFCA Salary Scale actual amount £18,651)

Start date: 30th August 2022

Closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 26th July 2022
