Job overview

We are looking for an accountant to join our Finance Department. The role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance existing skills, whilst assisting in delivery of the organisations mission and strategic objectives.

You must hold a professional accountancy qualification but the role would be suited to a newly qualified accountant who is looking to gain further experience in a supportive and diverse environment. Training on the College Finance system will be given but a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential. 

Key areas of focus of the role are:

o Monthly Management Accounts Production

o Control and other key Accounts – reconciliation and management

o VAT - and the statutory requirements

o Statutory Reporting, Lead Schedules – ability to compile accurate and fully referenced schedules to support financial reporting

o Monitoring multidepartment organisation budgets

The successful candidate should show accuracy and attention to detail along with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
