We are looking for an outstanding qualified teacher to join our academy as Achievement Director for Business and ICT.

This is a key role, leading an already committed and very willing team. We offer a very broad and balanced Business and ICT curriculum, and the subject areas have a very high profile at Harris Academy St John's Wood. You will be able to develop and implement the subjects within this new Harris academy: a really exciting challenge and opportunity.

We are looking for someone who is a committed professional and has a real passion for their subject. The successful candidate will be an Outstanding teacher, enthusiastic practitioner and have a deep understanding of all aspects of their subject. There will be excellent CPD opportunities to support you in your development as a leader within the academy and across the Federation.

Harris Academy St John’s Wood is a brand new 11-18 secondary academy located in St John's Wood, central London, and serves an urban, highly multi-ethnic and disadvantaged intake. Open in September 2017, the academy joins the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy and has a fresh start on an exciting journey to achieve Outstanding in all areas within two years.  The academy has new direction with the values of Dedication, Determination and Destiny.  If you want to make a real difference to needy young people, and be supported to do so through great training and development as well as unrivalled progression opportunities, then joining this new Harris academy could be for you. 

What we are looking for:

  • An outstanding and committed teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, who has deep understanding of all aspects of their subject
  • A person who has the ability to lead developing colleagues to reach your high standards
  • A great understanding and knowledge of all aspects of teaching and learning is crucial
