A fantastic opportunity to join our talented History team! History Studies is a popular subject and plays a key part in our curriculum offer. We are looking for a subject leader to lead the work of developing a knowledge based curriculum for History; it is a great time to join the Academy as we embark on this development journey. This post is suitable for an outstanding practitioner looking for a new challenge. For us building the right team is important.
As a History Teacher working within our Humanities Learning Village, you will be part of a team developing fresh ideas to embed students’ knowledge. You will be able to teach across the age range. You will also have the opportunity to be part of the development of enrichment activities in History, and across the Academy.
Bedford Academy is a good school with outstanding leadership (Ofsted October 2015). We are on an exciting journey to be an outstanding school, with a rapidly increasing student roll and a dedicated, successful staff team. We moved to our brand new building in 2012. In June 2017 Bedford Academy formed HEART Academy Trust with 3 other local schools.
